Defence Colony is a bit more of a relaxed area compared to the rest of the city. Our spot at 28/A has a different feel. It’s a residential neighborhood, so we see the same faces quite often. There are kids who come in after their classes and older people who have lived in Def Col for decades. We spend our mornings getting the place ready, wiping down the glass windows that look out onto the street. It’s a nice view, actually, with some trees and the park nearby. The shop isn't very big, so it gets full quickly in the evenings. We have to juggle the walk-in customers with the delivery orders that keep coming in on the machines. The delivery riders are always waiting outside on their scooters. Sometimes they get impatient, but we go as fast as we can. The walls have some old pictures on them, and the furniture is the standard stuff you see everywhere else. We don't try to be something we’re not. It’s just a place to get a burger or some ice cream. We have some issues with the wiring occasionally because it's an older building, so we’ve got a guy we call to fix the lights. It’s a quiet life here most of the time. We just focus on the daily chores and keeping the place tidy for the neighbors who stop by for a hot chocolate fudge.
