Being right near Moolchand Hospital at 53 Lajpat Nagar III means we see a specific kind of crowd. A lot of the people coming into Nirula'S are there because they have someone in the hospital or they work there. It makes the atmosphere a bit quieter than a normal mall branch. People look a bit tired or worried, and they just want a place to sit down for a minute. We spend a lot of time making coffee or serving quick snacks. The building itself is old and the layout is a bit cramped. We have to be careful when moving around the kitchen area. Outside, the traffic at the Moolchand crossing is always a mess. You can hear the sirens and the constant honking from the flyover. We try to keep the inside as calm as possible. Sometimes doctors come in for a quick break before their next shift. We know a few of the regulars by now. The cleaning is the biggest part of the job because we want to keep things looking decent for the families coming in. The floors are old stone and take a lot of scrubbing. It’s a steady pace, not too frantic but never really empty either. We just keep the lights on and the food coming, day after day, while the city rushes past outside the window. We mostly just focus on getting the orders right and keeping the napkins stocked.
