If you come over to E-574 on the E Block Road, you have to head up to the third floor to find us. Newmega Rooster and Grill Kitchen is exactly what it sounds like. We spend our days around the grill, and the heat up there on the top floor can get pretty intense during the afternoons. It’s not the easiest place to reach, but once you’re there, the smell of the roasting chicken makes it worth the climb. We started this because we liked the idea of a kitchen that focused on just a few things done right. We don't have a massive menu with a hundred items. It’s mostly just us back there handling the spices and watching the grill. The kitchen isn't huge, so we have to move around each other pretty carefully to avoid any accidents. Sometimes the delivery orders come in all at once and it gets a bit chaotic with the tickets piling up. We try to keep things clean and organized, but it’s a working kitchen, so there’s always a bit of a mess somewhere. We’re just a group of people who enjoy cooking meat over a flame. We don't have a fancy dining room or waiters in suits. It’s just practical food for people who want a good meal. Being on the third floor keeps us away from the street noise, which is nice.
