Lovely Fast Food Joint

Lajpat Nagar II is always a busy place to be, and our spot at A-19 is right in the middle of all that noise. We’ve been running Lovely Fast Food Joint out of this small space for years. Most mornings start with us dragging the heavy shutters up and setting out the plastic stools. It’s a lot of lifting crates and chopping things before the first customers show up around noon. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the summer, making it a bit uncomfortable until the sun goes down. We make a lot of snacks and quick meals that people can eat while they’re walking or heading back to their offices. There’s always a pile of napkins on the counter that the wind tries to blow away. We aren't trying to do anything out of the ordinary here. It’s just fried stuff, sandwiches, and whatever else people ask for. Sometimes we run out of bread or soda because the supplier forgot to stop by, and we just have to make do. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to close up for a day to get it done. People come here because they know the street and they know where A-19 is. It’s just a regular part of the day for us and the folks who live around Lajpat Nagar II.
