Our office is located at M-59 on the second floor in Lajpat Nagar Part-II. It is a very busy area with the market just a short walk away. We have been in this building for quite a while now. The office is small and usually cluttered with fabric samples, rugs, and piles of folders. We deal with textiles and have a lot of different pieces coming in and out all the time. It is a bit of a walk up the stairs to get to us. We don't have an elevator, so we get our exercise every day. Inside, we have a couple of desks and a large table where we spread out the samples to check the colors and the designs. We spend most of our day on the phone with the weavers or responding to emails. It gets a bit noisy because of the traffic on the street below, but we don't mind. We aren't a big corporation with lots of departments. It is just a handful of us managing the orders and the shipping. We know the area well and often grab a bite from the local stalls nearby. It is a lot of work to keep everything on schedule, especially with international orders. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized. It is a practical business and we’ve been part of the Lajpat Nagar community for years.
