Lean Cuisine

Lean Cuisine is tucked away in Faridabad N I T at Shop No 169. We are right on Sharan School Road in Parvatiya Colony, which means there are always kids and parents walking by. The morning starts with a lot of chopping and prepping in the small kitchen area. It’s not a very big shop, so we have to be organized or we just get in each other’s way. The road outside can get pretty busy around the time school lets out. We get a lot of people from the colony stopping in to see what we have made for the day. I spend a good chunk of my time just answering the phone and writing down orders on a pad of paper. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to close up for that. We keep our supplies in the back room and it’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. The stove stays hot for most of the afternoon. Sometimes the delivery guys are late because they get stuck in the Parvatiya Colony traffic, which can be frustrating. We just try to get the food out as fast as we can. It’s a busy little spot and there is always something that needs cleaning or fixing up. We’re just local people doing our thing here. We usually keep the back door open for a bit of a breeze while we work.
