Handloom Craft

We are based over in Govindpuri, Kalkaji, specifically at 1656/15 on the first floor. Handloom Craft is basically where we work with different fabrics and traditional weaving styles. It’s a busy neighborhood, and our space is usually packed with rolls of cloth and different threads. You can hear the sounds of the street coming through the windows while we work. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. Sometimes the place looks like a mess with all the scraps on the floor, but we know where everything is. We spend our days checking the quality of the weaves and making sure the colors are right. It’s a lot of manual work, and your back can get pretty sore by the end of the day. People around here know us for the handloom stuff we handle. We’ve been in this Kalkaji spot for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners nearby. It’s a tight-knit kind of place. We don’t do much advertising; most of our work comes from people just knowing we’re here and what we do. It’s simple work, but it takes a lot of patience to get the details right. We just try to keep the tradition going as best as we can in our own small way. It feels right to keep making things with our hands instead of just buying and selling.
