Heritage India

We are located at C-606 on the ground floor in New Friends Colony. Heritage India has been operating from this spot for quite some time. It is a quiet residential area, so it’s not like the big crowded markets you see in other parts of Delhi. We have various things inside, mostly items that people use to decorate their homes or clothes that have a bit of traditional work on them. The space isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. You might see some carved wood pieces sitting near the entrance or some fabric rolls tucked into the corners. We spend a lot of time sorting through things that come in from different parts of the country. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when a new shipment arrives and we have to find space on the shelves. There isn't a big team here, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone walks in looking for a specific type of brass bowl or a hand-printed scarf, we usually know exactly which pile to dig through. It’s the kind of place where you have to look around a bit to find what you want. We keep the doors open during the day, and you can hear the birds in the trees outside. It’s a decent place to work, and we just keep busy with the daily chores of running the shop and helping visitors.
