You have to walk up to the first floor to find us here at H 43 on Murade Road. It is right in the middle of Batla House in Jamia Nagar, so the area is always full of life and noise. New Delhi is a big city but this neighborhood feels like its own world. Being on the first floor means it is a little bit quieter than the street level, but not by much. We have all kinds of household items and groceries squeezed into the shelves. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we get new stock in and have to find a place for every box. The stairs can be a bit steep for some, but people don't seem to mind coming up for their daily needs. We see a lot of students and families from around the neighborhood every day. Delhi weather is tough, very hot or very cold, and that affects how many people are out shopping. We spend a lot of time checking the dates on products and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there is usually someone you know behind the counter. We don't have a lot of extra help, so we do the cleaning and the heavy lifting ourselves. The aisles are narrow because we try to carry as many different things as possible for the locals who live around Jamia Nagar.
