You can find Gautam Polymers down at F-33 in the Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase I. Being in Okhla means being surrounded by factories and warehouses, which is exactly where we belong. We work with polymers, so the smell of raw materials is just part of our daily life. The facility is a bit loud and the air can get pretty warm, especially during the peak of summer, but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. We started this company because there was a need for reliable plastic components, and we had the equipment to make them. Our day usually starts early, checking the machines and making sure the production line is moving along. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just focus on getting the orders out of the door at F-33. The floors are concrete and the desks are old, but everything serves a purpose. Sometimes we have to deal with delays in getting materials delivered through the heavy Okhla traffic, which can be frustrating, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company in India; we just want to do a decent job for the people who buy from us. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we function like a small family in this industrial space.
