Ganesh General Store

You can find Ganesh General Store right in the heart of the Main Market in Yusuf Sarai. The shop is at number 18/3. It’s a very busy market, so there’s always noise and people moving around outside our door. We’ve been here for years, and the shop is filled with all sorts of household items. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as possible onto the shelves. If you’re looking for something and can’t see it, you usually just have to ask. We have everything from kitchen supplies to cleaning items. The ceiling is a bit low and the lighting is just some old tube lights, but it works fine for what we need. My cousin and I run the place together. We don't have a big staff or anything. We open early in the morning before most of the other shops around here. Sometimes the deliveries get mixed up, and we have to spend time sorting things out on the sidewalk. It’s just part of life in Yusuf Sarai. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just sell things that people need. It’s a practical little shop for the community. Most of our regulars have been shopping with us since they were kids. We just keep our heads down and do the work every single day.
