Being in Okhla Phase-I means there’s always something happening outside our door. Our building at A-35 is nothing more than a basic industrial unit. At Fm India Private Limited, we mostly focus on the daily tasks without much fuss. The area is full of trucks and people moving boxes, so it gets pretty dusty during the dry months. Inside, it’s a mix of storage space and a small office section. We don’t really go for the high-end office look. It’s more about having enough room for the inventory and a desk that isn't too wobbly. The staff here is pretty small, and we all end up doing a bit of everything during the shift. One day I might be answering the phone, and the next I’m helping load a truck because someone didn’t show up. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we’re used to it. We’ve got a little area where we keep our lunch boxes and a fridge that’s always full of water bottles. It’s not the kind of place you see in magazines, but it’s where we work. We try to keep things organized, but in an industrial area like Okhla, things get messy fast no matter what you do. We just do our best to get the orders out on time. There’s no big secret to how we run things; we just show up at A-35 and get to it every morning. It's a busy life but it keeps us going.
