Daily Needs

Daily Needs is a small shop located at 45 in the Corner Market of Malviya Nagar. Being in South Delhi, specifically the 110017 area, we get a lot of different people coming through. The shop is exactly what the name says, a place for things you need every day. We keep bread, eggs, milk, and various other groceries that folks in Malviya Nagar run out of. The Corner Market is a busy little hub, and we have been a part of it for a good number of years now. It’s not a large space, so we have to be very careful about how we stack the boxes and jars. You can usually find me behind the counter or out front helping someone find a specific brand of biscuits. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything, just a simple ledger and some good memory. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, but the shop has stayed pretty much the same. It is a bit worn around the edges, but that's just because it gets used so much. We open up early and stay open until the market starts to quiet down at night. There isn't any corporate talk here, just a local business trying to keep the shelves full for the neighbors. It is steady work and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces every day.
