Our spot is at F-122 in Lajpat Nagar-I. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always buzzing with people looking for fabrics and clothes. We fit right in with all the textile stuff going on. The ground floor is usually where we keep the bulk of the cloth rolls. They’re heavy and can be a bit dusty, so we wear old clothes to work most days. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of fabric and making sure the colors match what was asked for. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, so we often take samples to the door to see them in the daylight. We’ve got a couple of old cutting tables that have seen better days, but they are solid and get the job done. It gets pretty loud with the traffic outside and the fans whirring away inside. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a PR team. It’s just a few of us who know a lot about textiles and how to handle them. Sometimes we have a bit of a mess on the floor with all the loose threads and scrap pieces, but we sweep up before we lock up for the night. It’s a straightforward business. We don't make big promises; we just show the stock we have and help people find what they need for their projects.
