Craft House

We have been running things from A-7, Geetanjali for a while now. It is a small setup on the first floor over in Press Enclave. People usually come by to see what we have picked out for the week. It is mostly just handmade items that we find interesting or well-made. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It is more of a working space where we spend most of our time sorting through boxes. My desk is almost always covered in scraps of paper and various samples we are looking at. We try to keep things organized but it doesn't always go that way. There are only three of us here on most days. We drink a lot of tea and talk about what needs to get done. The neighborhood is mostly quiet which is nice for focusing. You have to walk up the stairs since we are on the first floor. There isn't a big sign outside so you have to look for the building name. Most of our visitors come because someone told them about us. It is a decent way to spend the day. We pick out pieces that feel real and skip the factory-made stuff. Sometimes the office gets a bit warm in the summer so we just open the windows and hope for a breeze. The postman knows us well by now. It’s not a complicated business. We just like the items and hope they find good homes.
