Colonel'S Retreat

You’ll find us at D-418 in Defence Colony, which is a pretty quiet part of the neighborhood compared to the main roads. Colonel'S Retreat isn't one of those massive, cold hotels you see in the city center. It’s more of a place where things feel a bit more like home, or at least that’s what we try to keep it as. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready and making sure the kitchen has what it needs for breakfast. The stairs are a bit narrow and sometimes the old building has its quirks, like a door that squeaks or a light that needs a tap. We don't use fancy scripts when we talk to guests. It’s usually just a "hello" and helping them find their way around South Delhi. The trees outside the windows keep the place feeling a bit cooler in the summer. Working here means you do a bit of everything—sometimes I'm at the desk, other times I'm checking the laundry or talking to the gardener. We don't have a big corporate office in some skyscraper. We’re right here on the ground, dealing with whatever the day brings. Most of us live nearby or have been commuting here for so long that the walk from the metro feels like second nature. It’s just a simple life of running a guesthouse and making sure people have a decent place to stay while they’re in town.
