Cafe 27 Bar

Cafe 27 Bar is located in Sector 62 at Sg7. It’s a place where people come after they finish their shifts in the offices nearby. We spend a lot of time wiping down the bar and washing glasses that never seem to end. The lighting is a bit dim because that’s how people like it when they’re trying to relax. We have some stools that have seen better days, with the stuffing starting to peek out of the seats. It gets pretty loud on Friday nights when everyone is talking at once and the music is playing in the background. We serve drinks and some small plates of food like peanuts or fried snacks. The kitchen in the back is tiny and it gets very hot when the snacks are being made. We’ve had a few leaks in the ceiling when it rains hard, so we just put a bucket out and keep going. Sector 62 is full of big buildings, but our spot at Sg7 feels a bit more tucked away. We aren't a fancy lounge with carpets; it’s just a place to sit and have a cold drink. Sometimes the credit card machine acts up and we have to ask people to use cash. We stay open until the last person leaves, which is often much later than we planned. It’s hard work, but we’re used to the long hours and the noise of the crowd.
