Bhapay Di Hatti

Bhapay Di Hatti is tucked away at E-206 in Lajpat Nagar. We are situated pretty close to the Krishna Market, which is always a hive of activity. Being in this part of Delhi means there is never a dull moment. You have people from all over coming to shop in Lajpat, but we mostly see the locals who live in the surrounding blocks. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about where we put things. It can get a little messy when new stock comes in, but we get it sorted eventually. We’ve been running this place for a while and have seen the neighborhood grow and change. Some of the old houses are now big apartments, but the people still need the same basic things. We open up early and usually stay until the last customer leaves. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don't bother with any big advertisements or anything like that. People find us because they live nearby or their friends told them about us. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s quiet and watch the world go by. It’s a simple life, really. We just keep the shelves filled and try to be helpful when someone asks for something we don't have. That’s just how things work at our little spot in Lajpat.
