Our place is tucked away in the basement over in Mittal Colony. It stays pretty cool down here even when the summer sun is hitting Pul Prahladpur really hard. We have space E85 A, which is mostly just one big room filled with plastic bins and some old worktables. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re new to this area. You have to walk down the small flight of concrete stairs past the main gate. We’ve been running things from here for a few years now. It started small and just kind of stayed this way without growing too big. We handle a lot of different garment work depending on the season. The lighting isn't great, so we use these heavy desk lamps to see what we are doing on the machines. We usually have the radio playing some local station in the background to pass the time. It gets a bit damp when it rains heavily, so we have to move all the stock away from the walls. Most of our neighbors are nice people who’ve lived in Prahladpur forever. We don't have a showroom with mannequins or anything fancy like that. It’s just us working and keeping track of orders on a paper notepad. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost and we have to go up to the street to wave them down. It’s just part of the daily routine here in the colony. We just keep our heads down and work.
