Baba Nagpal Corner

If you come to Lajpat Nagar IV, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s usually the place where there’s a bit of a crowd gathered on the corner near the street. We’ve been at 41480 for quite a while now. The mornings are the busiest time because that’s when everyone wants their breakfast before work. It gets pretty chaotic with people shouting orders and others trying to find a place to stand and eat their food. We don’t have much in the way of seating, so you’ll see people leaning against their scooters or just standing on the sidewalk. The pavement outside gets a bit greasy from all the foot traffic, but that’s just part of being a popular spot in this market. We keep the big vats of food going all morning long. The steam fills up the front area when it’s cold outside. We aren’t interested in being a fancy restaurant with waiters. It’s just a corner shop that serves food to whoever is hungry. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow morning. The staff is fast because they have to be to keep up. There’s no time for long chats when there’s a line of twenty people waiting. We just keep moving and trying to keep everyone fed. It’s loud and busy, but it’s our daily life.
