Avs Decon Pvt. Ltd. operates out of a building at 33, Church Road in the Jangpura area of Bhogal. It’s an interesting part of Delhi because the streets are quite narrow and there’s always something happening right outside the door. Our office is a straightforward place. We handle the daily side of the business here. We don’t spend money on expensive furniture for ourselves; we’d rather have good tools and enough space for our files. A lot of our day involves talking to vendors and checking on the progress of various jobs we have going on. It’s not uncommon to see someone walking in with boots covered in site dust. We use the main table for everything from meetings to eating our lunch. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello. Everyone knows each other on this street. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the way, but we like the history of the Bhogal area. We keep things pretty simple and don’t worry too much about looking like a big corporation. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time. We function more like a small crew than a big company. We just keep our heads down, do the work that comes in, and try to stay organized amidst all the daily chaos. It's usually a long day but we've gotten used to how things run around here and we try to do right by everyone we work with. That's about it.
