Arimbam Pan Stall

Arimbam Pan Stall is located at number 255 in Shahpur Jat. If you know the area, you know how the lanes can be a bit like a maze. We are right there in the middle of it all. This neighborhood has changed a lot over the years with all the designers and offices moving in, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We open up the stall every day and set out all our jars and containers. It’s a small space, so everything has to be kept in its proper place or we’d never find anything. Most of our customers are folks who work in the nearby buildings or people living in the village who have known us for a long time. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. People just walk by and see us at 255. It gets a bit cramped when more than two people are standing out front, especially when a motorbike is trying to squeeze through the lane at the same time. But that is just how Shahpur Jat is. We just keep doing what we do, day after day. It’s not a complicated life. We chat about the weather or the news while we work. It’s just a small stall, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the street life here. We usually close up when the last of the office workers head home for the night.
