Amici Cafe

Our cafe is located at Defence Colony 8, and it’s a decent place to spend the day. It’s usually quiet in the early hours, which gives us time to check the stock and make sure the coffee machine is working like it should. The building is older, so it has these little quirks, like a floorboard that always creaks when you walk over it or the way the sun hits the back wall in the late afternoon. We have a couple of tables that are always popular with people who like to sit and read for a long time. We don’t mind that at all; it makes the room feel more like a home. There’s almost always something that needs a bit of attention, whether it’s a wobbly table leg or a door that won't shut quite right. We usually just fix those things ourselves instead of making a big fuss. Defence Colony has seen a lot of changes over the years, but our corner stays mostly the same. Our menu isn't huge because the kitchen is small and we don't want to overcomplicate things. It’s a lot of physical work, cleaning up at night and getting everything back in order for the next morning. We’re just here doing our daily tasks, making sure people have a place to sit down and take a breather. It’s a simple setup, nothing too fancy or corporate, just us working at number 8 and keeping things moving.
