A Jha General Stores

We've been here at O-6-A-2 in Dilshad Garden for a long time now. People around here just call us the Jha shop. It started pretty small, just a few things on the shelves, and it stays mostly like that because there isn't much space to expand anyway. My father used to sit here all day and now I do the same thing mostly. We open early in the morning before people go to work because that is when they realize they ran out of milk or sugar. The shop isn't fancy at all. The floor is a bit cracked near the entrance but it works fine for what we do. We stock the usual stuff like lentils, soaps, and those snacks the kids from the nearby houses like to buy after school. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when more than three people show up at once because the aisles are narrow. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what someone asks for quickly. It is quiet in the afternoons when the sun is out, then it picks up again in the evening. We know most of the faces that come through the door. It is just a regular life here in Dilshad Garden. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical store where you can see what you are buying before you pay for it. That is how we like it.
