A. A. Carpets is tucked away at 39-A in the Noor Nagar Extension area of Okhla. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the streets. We’ve been handling carpets for a long time now. The space is filled with rolls of different sizes and colors, and there’s always that specific smell of wool and fabric in the air. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to find what we need. It’s hard work, but we’ve gotten used to it. Okhla is a busy industrial and residential mix, so there's always noise from the nearby shops and traffic. We start our day early before it gets too hot. Most of our work is just dealing with the carpets, checking for any issues, and making sure they’re ready. We aren't a big corporate office, just a local spot where we do our work. Sometimes we sit out front when things are quiet. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so we all know each other. It’s a straightforward life here. We don’t have a big fancy showroom, just our work area and the storage space. If you come by, you might have to dodge a few delivery trucks on the narrow road. But that’s just life in Noor Nagar. We’ve been here for years and we plan to stay. Sometimes the dust gets to you, but we just keep the shutters up and keep moving.
