Shiv Steel Company is located right across from the big water tank in the Industrial Area on Delhi Road. It’s a landmark that makes it very easy for people to find us, which is good because the Industrial Area can be a bit of a maze sometimes. We’ve been operating from this location for quite a few years now. The noise from the surrounding factories is something you just get used to after a while. We deal with various types of steel, mostly pipes and sheets that we keep in the back. It’s a straightforward setup with no frills. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and someone will help you out. The office is small and gets quite hot in the afternoon sun, but the ceiling fan does its best to keep the air moving. We started this business with just a couple of us and it’s grown a bit since then, but we still keep things simple. Most of our days are spent loading trucks and checking orders against our handwritten lists. We make mistakes sometimes, like anyone else, but we always try to get it sorted out eventually. We aren't interested in being the biggest company on Delhi Road, we just want to keep our regulars happy and stay busy. If you need some steel and you're near the water tank, stop in and say hello. There’s usually someone around to talk to most of the time.
