L. R. Metallurgical Industries

Our place, L. R. Metallurgical Industries, is over at Plot No. 62 in the Sports Complex Industrial Area in Murthal. If you come by, you will hear the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of big machines from quite a distance away. It is an industrial zone, so it is not exactly pretty, but it is where the real work gets done. We deal with metallurgical processes which means a lot of heat and heavy lifting. Our clothes are usually stained with grease and iron dust by noon. It’s the kind of work that makes you tired in a good way. Murthal is famous for its food, but for those of us in the industrial area, it is all about production. We don't have any fancy marketing brochures or a polished lobby. Our lobby is just the front gate where the trucks pull in. We focus on the specs of the jobs we get. Sometimes we stay late into the night when a big order needs to go out. The guys working here have been with us for a long time, so we function like a small team that knows each other’s moves. It is a tough environment but we have made it our own over the years. We take things one day at a time and try to keep the equipment running smoothly. It’s honest, gritty work and we just do our best to get things out the door.
