Millenium Cans And Containers is situated at Plot No 1591 in the HSIIDC Rai Industrial Area. It’s a big name, but we are just a regular factory making cans and different types of containers. The HSIIDC area is huge, and we are just one of many plots along the road. Our space is usually filled with the sound of metal being shaped and containers being stacked. It’s a rhythmic noise that you stop noticing after being here for an hour. We have piles of shiny metal sheets waiting to be used and rows of finished products ready to be shipped out. The warehouse part of the building is always crowded, so you have to be careful where you walk. Our office is a small room partitioned off from the main floor, but you can still hear the machines through the walls. We have a few dusty windows that look out onto the industrial road, which is usually full of lorries. The staff here has been with us for a while, and we all just get on with it. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just make sure the containers are made right and the orders go out when they should. It’s a bit messy at times, with scraps of metal on the floor, but we clean up at the end of every day. It’s just a normal factory life in Rai.
