Solanke Agro Producer Company Limited

We started Solanke Agro Producer Company Limited because we needed a better way to handle things here in Ghalatwadimajalgaon. It’s just a group of us from the local area who know the soil and the crops. Most days we are out in the fields or at our spot at 408 Ghalatwadimajalgaon trying to figure out the best way to get our produce moved. It’s not fancy. We have seen good years and bad ones too. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should and other times we have too much work and not enough hands. We deal with seeds, fertilizers, and whatever the farmers around here need. People know us by name. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s mostly just hard work and talking to neighbors about how the harvest is looking. Majalgaon is a tough place for farming sometimes but we keep at it. We wanted to make sure the people growing the food actually get a fair deal. That is why we registered the company. It helps us buy things in bulk and sell together so we don’t get pushed around by big middleman buyers. We just take it one day at a time and try to make sure everyone in our group has what they need to keep their farms running. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes which we don’t like but it’s necessary for the business side of things.
