You can find us at Gut No. 99/2 in Bhandarkawathe, which is in the Solapur district of Maharashtra. It’s a dry area, so farming here takes a lot of patience and grit. We named the company Peer Mahasiddh and we’ve been working together for a while now. Most of us in the group are neighbors. We share tools and advice, so making it an official company just seemed like the next logical step. We don't have a big staff; everyone just chips in where they can. If someone’s tractor is broken, we talk about it at the meeting. If the market price for onions drops, we try to find a way to wait it out. It’s very much a local, hands-on operation. The office in Solapur is usually a bit dusty because of the wind, but it’s where the real decisions happen. We aren't interested in being "the best"; we just want to be reliable for the people who depend on us. There’s a lot of honesty in what we do because we can’t afford to be anything else. We focus on what’s right in front of us—the crops, the weather, and the bills. It’s a simple way of living and working that keeps us connected to the ground. Sometimes things go wrong, but we just pick up and start again the next morning.
