We run a jaggery business here in Bhandisheagaon. It's out in Pandharpur, Solapur district. Most of what we do is just processing the sugarcane into blocks of jaggery. It gets pretty busy around harvest time. The shed is where all the boiling happens. My family has been around this area for a long time. People come by to see how it's made or to pick up orders. We don't have a big fancy office, just the production floor and some storage. It's hot work but it's what we know. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them on the fly. It's not a corporate setup, just us working daily to keep things moving. We handle the local deliveries ourselves mostly. The smell of the cane boiling fills the whole air around here. Some days are long, especially when there's a lot of cane waiting to be processed. We just try to get the work done right. The location is easy to find if you know the Bhandisheagaon area. We have a few regulars who have been buying from us since we started. It's simple work. Nothing too complicated about making jaggery, you just need patience and the right heat. We keep the place as tidy as we can despite the sticky nature of the business. That's about all there is to it. We stay busy through the season. The floors are usually covered in dust from the fields, and the workers are local guys from the village. We started this because the sugarcane is right here in Solapur anyway.
