Sina Madha Farmer Producer Company Limited is right here in Mahisgaon. If you know the Madha area in Solapur, you know it can get really hot and dry during the summer months. We are based out of a simple spot in the village. Dealing with the weather is probably our biggest job. We got together as farmers because it is easier to buy stuff like fertilizer in bulk when you are a group. It is just a practical thing. We don't have any big aims to be a giant company with branches everywhere. We just want to make sure the farmers in the 413208 area can get by. Our office, if you can call it that, is just a place to keep the books and meet up. There is usually a lot of noise and people coming in and out. We talk about the water levels and which crops might do better this year given the rain. It is a tough life, farming in Solapur. Sometimes the ground is just too hard to work with. We are just normal people who grew up here. We don't use fancy marketing because everyone knows us already. We are just Sina Madha, a bunch of locals trying to solve local problems. Some days we have good news, and some days we just complain about the government or the lack of rain. It is a slow process, building something like this. We just take it one day at a time and hope.
