Sangharshraj Farmer Producer Company is located at Gut No 130 in Chinchkheda. This is part of the Kannad area. The name Sangharshraj means a lot to us because it reflects the struggle we’ve all faced in agriculture. We don't have a proper street address with a building name, just the gut number for the land. That tells you a lot about who we are. We are more comfortable in the fields than in an office. Our meeting spot is basic, just enough to keep the rain off our heads and a place to store our records. We don't use a lot of fancy technology. Most of our work is done through word of mouth and face-to-face meetings with the local growers. In Chinchkheda, everyone knows everyone, so news travels fast. We started this to help each other out with better seeds and finding buyers who won't cheat us. It’s a lot of responsibility, and some days are better than others. When the harvest is good, the mood is great. When there’s no rain, things get stressful. We don’t have a polish or a corporate image. We’re just a group of neighbors trying to make the most of what we have. It’s a hard life, but doing it together makes it a bit easier. We just keep our heads down and do the work, regardless of how tough the season gets. There’s always something to do on the farm.
