If you head down to Gangapur in the Latur district, you’ll find us working the land like our fathers did before us. We started Radiantgram Farmer Producer Company Limited because we realized that doing things the old way, where everyone is just out for themselves, wasn't working anymore. Hanumant Tukaram Khandade is the one who helps keep things organized at his place. Latur can be a tough place to farm because it gets so dry, and you really have to know what you’re doing with the water. We are just a bunch of local guys who know the soil here. We don't have any big corporate backers or anything like that. It is just us and our tools. We spend a lot of time talking about which crops will grow best this season and how we can get them to the market without losing all our money on transport. Some of our meetings get a bit loud when everyone has a different idea, but that’s just how it goes when people care about their work. We are based right here in Gangapur and we don't plan on going anywhere. It’s about being practical and making sure we can keep our farms running for another year. It isn't always pretty, and there's always something breaking down that needs fixing, but we get by. We just want to work hard and see some results from it.
