Working out of Jyotibachiwadi in the Barshi area of Solapur is a bit different than being in a big city. Our company, Naturelandmark Agri-Horti-Tech, is basically run out of H No. 53. It’s a quiet spot, surrounded by the kind of land we spend all our time thinking about. We call ourselves an agri-horti-tech business, but really, we’re just folks who are interested in how technology can make growing things a little less of a headache. Solapur is known for being dry, so we spend a lot of time talking about water and how to use it better. Sometimes we’re out in the fields, and other times we’re at the desk trying to figure out why a particular piece of gear isn’t working. It’s not a polished setup; there’s usually some dirt on the floor and the internet connection can be a bit slow out here in the village. We started this because we saw how much work goes into farming and thought maybe we could help with some of the technical bits. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of our neighbors just know us as the people at house fifty-three who are always messing with plants and gadgets. It’s a slow pace of life, but there’s always something that needs fixing or checking on, so we stay plenty busy. We just take it one day at a time here.
