Kolwade Parisar Shetkari Producer Company Limited

Our small office is set up over at the Sarpanch Grampachayat in Kolwadatal, which is part of Sangamner. We are right there in the middle of the village, so it’s easy for the farmers to stop by when they have a spare moment. We formed this producer company because we realized that working together makes more sense than trying to do everything alone. It’s a group of us from the local area around A Nagar. Mostly, we deal with the stuff that comes up in daily farming life. There is usually a lot of paperwork to deal with, and since we share space with the Grampachayat, it can get a bit crowded on meeting days. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just sit around and discuss how to get better prices or where to find the right seeds. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and that’s when everyone starts worrying, so we try to help out where we can. It’s a bit of a slow process building this up, but we are taking it one day at a time. Everyone knows everyone here in Kolwada, so there aren’t many secrets. We just do what needs doing and hope the crops turn out okay at the end of the year. It's hard work, but it feels right being here in the village instead of some big city. It's just a regular bunch of people trying to make a living.
