Karkamb Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are just a group of local people from around Karkamb here in the Pandharpur area. Most of us have been working the soil in Solapur for as long as we can remember. Karkamb Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just us getting together to handle our business better. We operate out of Sanjay Vasant Dudhane’s place in the village. It isn’t some big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just where we meet to talk about the crops and what needs doing next. Being in a place like Solapur means we deal with the weather and the markets every day. It gets tough sometimes, but that is just part of life here. We decided to start this because it’s easier to get things done when there are more of us involved. We mostly focus on what grows well in our fields around here. Everyone knows everyone in Karkamb, so it feels right to work this way. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We just want to make sure the work we do on our farms actually pays off at the end of the season. If you are looking for us, we are right at the post in Karkamb. It is a quiet spot, mostly just tractors and the smell of the fields. We spend most of our time out there anyway. This whole thing is run by people who actually know what it’s like to have dirt under their fingernails.
