Thakur Brothers

Our business is located right on NH-22 in Sanwara. It’s part of the Tehsil Kasauli area, and the post office is over at Manomain Market. Being on the highway means we see a lot of people passing through, especially those heading up toward the hills. The brothers—that's us—run the whole show here. It’s a family thing, so we don't always agree on how to stack the crates, but we get it done in the end. The air up here is a bit cooler than down in the plains, which is nice for the work we do. We spend our days managing the inventory and keeping track of what’s coming and going. The building is right there on the main road, so it’s easy to spot if you’re driving by. Sometimes the mountain roads get blocked or the weather turns bad, and then we have to adjust our plans. It’s not a fancy operation, just a warehouse-style setup where we handle our drinks and food items. We’ve lived in this area forever, so we know most of the local drivers and shopkeepers. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and checking invoices under the light of a single bulb sometimes. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on being here and doing what we’ve always done. It is a simple life by the highway, and we are fine with that.
