Ambuja Cements Ltd

We work at the Ambuja Cements site in Darlaghat. It's up in the hills of Solan district. Many of us live right here in the ACL Colony. It’s a busy place. We spend our days dealing with cement bags and trucks coming in and out of the Arki tehsil area. It isn't a fancy office setup. Mostly, it’s just people from around Himachal Pradesh doing their jobs. We've been here for a while. The weather gets cold, but the work stays the same. We handle the local distribution and make sure things get where they need to go in the village. It's noisy sometimes because of the machinery, but that's just how it is when you're making cement. We know the roads around here pretty well. If you’re looking for the plant, you just head toward the colony. There are a lot of families living nearby who also work here. It feels like a small town within the company area. We don't really do much advertising. People just know where we are because they see the stacks from the road. We try to keep things organized, even when it gets muddy during the rains. It’s hard work, but we are used to the routine. Most of us have been at this specific spot for years. We just focus on getting the daily load out and making sure the gates are locked at night. That’s pretty much the whole story for our Solan branch.
