Up here at G-120 in the Gacl Colony, things are a bit different than the plains. Darlaghat has those steep roads that make the trucks groan when they are fully loaded with material. We are based out of the P.O. Darlaghat area in Tehsil Arki, and the air is usually a bit sharper and cooler than what you find in Solan. The office itself is part of the housing colony, so it feels more like a home than a corporate building. We deal with a lot of local distribution and all the paperwork that comes with it. In the winter, we really feel the cold coming through the window frames, so there is always a small heater tucked under someone's desk. The view outside is mostly hills and other colony houses, which is quite nice when you need a minute to rest your eyes from the ledger books. We see a lot of the same drivers every day, and they usually stop in for a quick chat or to complain about the road conditions near Shimla. It is a quiet routine for the most part, except when there is a sudden rush on orders. We try to keep the files organized, but they tend to pile up on the corners of the desks during the busy weeks. It is just a regular workplace where people show up, do their bit, and go home to their families who live just a few streets away.
