Ramjanki Kisan Producer Company Limited is based out of Goriya Kheda, specifically at Malkhan Singh’s place in Mainagram. We’re pretty far out, near Post Bora, so it takes a bit of a drive to get to us if you’re coming from the main town. Most of us here are just farmers who realized we should probably start a company to handle the business side of things. Malkhan Singh had the space, so that’s where we ended up. It’s a simple setup. There’s usually a tractor parked nearby and some bags of grain waiting to be moved. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting room. You just walk in and see who’s around. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather because that’s what really matters to us. The company is our way of trying to get a fair price for what we work so hard to grow. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we argue about which way to do things, but we’re all from the same area so we work it out. We don’t use big words or try to act like we’re more important than we are. We’re just local folks in Goriya Kheda doing the best we can with what we’ve got.
