Baba Barmeshwar Nath Producer Company Limited

You can find us at Sanjay Kumar Singh’s house in the village of Baluatola-Balua. We are part of the Panch-Bairia area in the Barhampur block. It is a rural place and we like it that way because we are close to the farms we work with. We named the company after Baba Barmeshwar Nath because he is important to everyone around here. We are a producer company which basically means a bunch of us got together to handle our farming business better. It is not always a smooth ride and we have our fair share of arguments about the best way to do things. But at the end of the day we are all neighbors and friends. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. You just walk up to the house and someone will be around to talk to you. We deal with the harvests and help out with getting fertilizers and things like that. The work is physical and tiring but it is what we are used to doing. We try to keep our overhead low so that more of the money stays with the farmers. It is a simple way of doing things that seems to work for us in this part of the district. We don't have much time for polish or marketing because there is always something that needs fixing or moving around the village of Balua.
