Ahunkrishi Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office is at Sunil Kumar’s place in the village of Ahunahun. It’s also the post office area, so it’s the center of things for us in this part of the world. Ahunkrishi Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us from the village. We didn't want to keep working for other people forever, so we started this together. It’s not a fancy office with a big sign. It’s just a room with some wooden tables and a lot of paper ledgers. We spend our days checking on the crops and talking to the other farmers in Ahunahun about their yields. It’s a quiet village, and we like it that way. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just tell people what we have and try to get a good price for everyone. Sometimes we have to travel to the bigger towns to get supplies, but we always come back here. The work is hard, and the hours are often long, especially when the weather is changing quickly. We don't use any corporate talk or polished language. We just speak plain English and keep things as simple as possible. If someone has a problem with their crop, we sit down and figure it out together. It’s about helping each other out. We've known each other since we were kids, so there’s a lot of trust between us. We just keep doing what we know.
