Pupri Farmers Producer Company Limited is based right here in Village Temhua. If you walk past Ward 08 near the Hariharpur post office, that is where you will find us. H. Chanderi and the rest of the folks are usually around. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to stick together. Farming in Pupri has its good days and its bad ones. One year you get too much water and the next year the ground is dry as a bone. We grow what we can and try to help each other get the goods to the market without too much trouble. It is a lot of mud on our boots and long hours under the sun. We don't use any of those fancy business words because we don't really know them. We just know how to plant and how to wait. The village life is slow but there is always something to do with the crops. Someone is always fixing a fence or checking on the sprouts. We share what we know about the soil and the bugs. It is a simple way to live, really. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually counts for something at the end of the month. Most days we are just tired but we get back up the next morning and do it all again. If the sun is out, we are out. It’s just how things go around here.
