Udya Farmer Producer Company Limited

Udya Farmer Producer Company is based at House No. 268/1 in the village of Ramnagaria. That’s in Sirsa, Haryana-125055. It’s just a regular house in the VPO area. We didn't see the point in getting a big office in the town when most of the farmers we work with are right here. We use one of the front rooms to keep our papers and meet with anyone who needs help. Sirsa is a big agricultural area, and we are right in the thick of it. We spend our time talking about water, seeds, and how to get the crops to market without losing too much money. It’s a practical business. There are no suits or ties here. We usually have the doors open and people just stop by when they have a minute. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and keep talking. We started Udya because we saw how hard it was for a single farmer to negotiate anything. Working as a group makes more sense. It’s a slow process sometimes, getting everyone to agree on things, but we get there. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the house at Ramnagaria has become the spot where everyone knows they can find us. We just want to do right by the local people and keep things simple. It's not always perfect but we are making progress for the village and our families.
