Jhorar Farmer Producer Company Limited

We started Jhorar Farmer Producer Company Limited a while back because it made sense for us farmers here in Bacher to work together. It’s mostly just us folks from the village. The office is right at Ranjit Singh’s place, he’s Om Parkash’s son. You can find us there in Sirsa. It’s not a big fancy office or anything, just a room where we sit and talk about seeds, weather, and what prices we might get for the harvest this year. Sometimes the tea runs out and we just sit there anyway. Farming is tough in this part of Haryana, but when you have a company like this, at least you have someone to talk to when things don't go right. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just us. We deal with whatever crops are in season. One day it’s wheat, the next it might be something else. We try to keep things simple because that’s how we live. If you come by Bacher, you’ll probably see us near Ranjit’s house. Most people around here know where it is. We spend a lot of time just figuring out how to get things from the field to the market without too much trouble. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, which none of us really likes, but we do it to keep the business going. We are just a local group trying to make a living from the land. In the end, that is all it is.
