Our office is at 3501 and we are part of the Ellenabad area in Sirsa. Gurnam Singh is the main person here. His father Ajab Singh was well known in these parts. We started Swaran Gram Farmer Producer Company Limited because it seemed like the right thing to do for the local people. It is not a polished business with a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you will find one of us sitting at the desk with a calculator and a notebook. We deal with a lot of different crops depending on the season. Sirsa is a big agricultural hub, so there is always something moving. The winters are cold and the summers are very hot, so we just work around the climate. We have some old posters on the walls and a lot of files that need sorting. It is a bit messy sometimes but the work gets done. We don't go in for big marketing talk. We just tell people what we have and what the price is. Most of the farmers we work with are our friends anyway. We have known them for years. It is a community thing more than a corporate thing. If the tractor breaks down, we help each other fix it. That is just how we operate. It is simple and practical. We don't need much more than that.
