Indian Chinese Food Corner

We set up Indian Chinese Food Corner at Sahni Niwas. Being in Summer Hill, Shimla, means we see a lot of students since we are near Himachal University. The air is cool up here and the view out the window isn't bad either. We have been here for a bit now, just serving what we make. It is a small corner spot, nothing too grand. Most of the time it is quiet until the university classes let out, then it gets a bit more crowded. We chose this spot in the 171005 area because it is where everything happens in Summer Hill. I usually handle the front and make sure things are moving along. We do not spend money on big posters or fancy menus. We just write what we have and put it up. Living and working in Shimla has its own pace. Sometimes the weather makes things slow, especially when it gets foggy, but we stay open. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on the day. We like being part of the neighborhood. People stop by on their way to the university or when they are just walking through Sahni Niwas. It is a practical location for us and the locals. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss or any big plans for expansion. We just want to keep the kitchen going for as long as we can.
