Gumlapur Farmers Producer Company

Gumlapur Farmers Producer Company is located right in Gumlapur at House Number 6-59. We are a group of local folks working together on farming stuff. It’s a very basic setup in the heart of the village. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the land pretty well. Our office is just a small room where we meet to discuss the harvest and prices. There are usually a few chairs and a lot of tea going around. We don't have a website or anything like that. Everything happens face to face at 6-59. It gets a bit crowded during the planting season when everyone has questions. We try to help each other out with seeds and equipment. Being a farmers producer company means we are all in it together. Some days are tough when the weather doesn't behave, but that's farming. We have some old ledgers where we write everything down by hand. It works for us. The building isn't much to look at, just some bricks and a tin roof, but it’s where we do our business. People stop by on their way to the fields. We talk about the rain and the market. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours. Gumlapur is a small place, so word travels fast. If something is happening with the crops, you'll hear about it at our door. We just keep plugging away at it, year after year, hoping for a decent season for everyone in the group.
