Vinayaka Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located at No 1, Kannagi Street, just off the Advaitha Ashram Road in the Fair Lands part of Salem. It’s a hot city, and our school building definitely feels it, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working in every classroom. The school is right in a residential area, so we see our neighbors every morning when we open the gates. The staff room is often crowded because we have a lot of teachers who have been with us for a long time. We don't really go for anything fancy in terms of furniture or equipment; it’s all very basic and functional. We have the standard blackboards and rows of wooden desks that the kids have carved their names into over the years. The office handles all the paperwork, and it’s usually a mess of blue files and registers that we update by hand. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write glossy brochures; we just focus on the daily routine of bells, lessons, and lunch breaks. The playground is where the kids spend their energy, and it’s always loud with the sounds of them playing. It’s a very normal school where we do our jobs and go home at the end of the day. We’ve been part of this community for a while now, and everyone knows where to find us.
